Greetings and welcome to my little blog page! It has been awhile since my last post, and I have been busy DJing and MCing weddings, private parties and school dances. There have been some changes since my initial post on this blog, but the core of what my business offers is still the same. I continue to believe that weddings are better when they have awesome music and a DJ that is there to have fun. At the same time, it is important for me as a DJ to not make my clients or their guests uncomfortable. My philosophy is that the crowd should be motivated to dance by good music, rather than a DJ telling them what to do or playing stereotypical wedding music.
Today, I play music using a Pioneer DJM-800 Mixer and 2 Pioneer CD-J 1000s. While they are CD players that I can use them to play a CD that a client may bring to me, they typically are used in conjunction with my Macbook Pro computer. This is where I have thousands upon thousands of songs available and ready to be used when I need them or when they are requested. Yes, I do enjoy it when guests request songs; it shows that they are engaged in the party and that they are having a good time. However, I am always most concerned with what my client wants. In other words, if the bride has told me not to play a song or a certain kind of music, I will obey her wishes first.
If you are looking for more information about what I do, I do have a Facebook page that I try to update fairly regularly with interesting pictures from the events that I do. Go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/5280-Mobile-DJ/124175260961771?ref=hl to see it!
