Greetings everyone! In response to many clients asking to see a web page for 5280 Mobile DJ, I have taken the first step by creating this page. As I get more comfortable with the format I hope to turn this blog into a full description of what 5280 Mobile DJ has to offer.
For starters, my name is Cameron Trainor and I am the sole operator of 5280 Mobile DJ, serving the Denver metropolitan area and beyond. I have been professionally DJing and MCing in the Denver area since 2001, and I continue to love every moment of my business. The vast majority of events that I do are weddings, although I have been known to do college parties, birthday parties, and corporate events as well.
My philosophy is this: People usually enjoy themselves most at a party when they are listening to music they actually like, rather than filler music, tacky games, or annoying DJ chatter. This is why I try to play music that people like at all times, not just when the dancing starts. I use the microphone to make announcements, to direct the crowd’s attention, and to keep everyone informed as to what is going on, not to steal the spotlight. I customize my music playlist to my clients’ needs, and frequently have clients bring some of their own picks to the reception, because every event should reflect the personalities of the client.
My equipment is all state of the art and mostly CD based. I am in the process of adding digital music to my DJ setup, and that will allow me to have even more music at my fingertips. My setup is compact and intended to fit into smaller spaces, that way I do not take up the entire dance floor. I have lights available upon request at no additional charge, but this is up to the client’s discretion.
Basically, when you hire 5280 Mobile DJ, you get me and only me to be your DJ for your important event. Many DJ companies will send a DJ that they say is best suited for your event, but they will really send out who they have available for the day. Many Saturdays in the summer are so booked they will send out whomever they can to fill the space. I used to work for one of these companies as one of the best they had to offer. I feel it is important to talk to and have a feel for my clients before I show up at the event, so I started my own company.
I have been told by some that I am the best Mobile DJ they have ever seen. I try to live up to that reputation, but that does not mean I am the best for everyone. If my philosophy seems like what you are looking for, then I am confident that you will be pleased with my services.

What can I say, Cameron is great! Cameron was the DJ at our wedding 4 years ago, and since then I’ve been to many of our friend’s weddings and can truly appreciate how much a good DJ makes the party.
